Today our industries are growing quickly, progressing at rates and newer levels every minute it seems. Making industry expect that type of performance from their employees. We need to multitask and learn new skills to keep up and grow with the changes. This is the reason why it is important and necessary to have job training.
There are two types of job training available. One is off and on the job training. Off the job training is for those who are seeking employment and the on the job training es essential for those currently employed and need to grow and keep up with the company’s industry. Both of the job training are necessary. Pre-employment job training ensures the hiring company that this employee is ready to do the work they are being hired for. Also shows that the employee is ready to make and accept changes and take further on the job training when necessary.
Job training can be part of higher education or conducted as a kind of initiation course by individual companies that require certain qualifications in the people they hire – qualifications that they feel they are best equipped to teach. Individual companies and industries require different sets of qualifications in the people they hire because they perform individual services. And since these sets of qualifications and these services are so individual, the individual companies know best what exactly they are and how exactly to train people to achieve these qualifications. This is why job training courses that are conducted by these individual companies are better than any other job training courses; they know what they are doing and they do it best.
Companies can also do off the job courses for their employees as well. And like the on the job training, there are two types of this training as well. There are the courses that are there to teach employers about changes that might occur on their job and teach them the best way to adapt. And second, there is the kind of course the help employees indirectly by staying mentally fit and physically fit as well. Keeping healthy so they can perform their job at their peak capability. Both are important, firstly because jobs today have a growing demand where multitasking is important and secondly because our working environment can be actually hostile, depending more speed and efficiency out of us because profit is what is the main goal. So the companies need to care how their employees are doing and that they are well and healthy.
Many higher education opportunities available today train people for different jobs. These are obviously not specialized jobs that cater to individual companies but jobs that cater to different global industries. Higher education today is sometimes about producing a specialized batch of people who have been trained to enter an existing industry with all the qualifications they need to take the industry forward. This kind of education must be supervised by professionals who work in that particular industry and can predict future trends and needs of the industry so that the future batch of professionals that they train are up-to-date with the present and can carry the world through to the future.
