Automotive engineers design, develop and test vehicles or vehicle components from the idea stage through the manufacturing process and then improve design in response to customer feedback. Automotive engineers specialize in a wide variety of areas, such as aerodynamic qualities, alternative fuels, computer-based systems and electronics, emissions control, materials and vehicle safety.  ( jobs employment )
